The thing that worries me (as an educator) is that ChatGPT makes it more difficult to learn the programming skills (like problem solving). ChatGPT is very good at doing the sort of pedagogical/andrological exercises that students use to learn. It requires more discipline than most students have to reject the help that is available until they *really* need it - that is just human nature. I've been teaching programming for ~25 years and I have noticed students problem solving getting worse and worse as more and more online material is available. You learn best from a teacher that knows when to be "helpfully unhelpful".
