Tax automated labor, use the taxes to pay UBI. Raise tariffs on imported things created by automated or cheap labor, use it to pay UBI. Reduce other welfare programs use that to fund UBI. We should have value added tax on not only our own products but also on imported products thus encouraging things to be made here and also funding UBI. UBI recipients will also be forced into paying VAT which cycles back into paying UBI but also combats inflation.
