11:41 I want to enjoy parts of life that I'm passionate about and deal with the parts that I do not enjoy as quickly and efficiently as possible, and I figure that pretty much every non-masochistic person is on board with me here. I am very distant from visual art: I do not express myself that way and I rarely find myself in the mood to enjoy it and analyse it. Needless to say that I *don't* want to learn to draw, but I don't want to pay 50-500 bucks and wait days, weeks or months whenever I want, say, a wonky profile picture, visualisation of my random midnight idea, a logo for a group chat or a label for something, so AI art it is for me. And it doesn't stop you in any way from keeping spending time doing what you love, which is drawing. Nobody's taking your brushes, physical or digital, away from you. If you're afraid of not being able to earn a lot of money from your passion, then say it directly: "I want to gatekeep my *job* to *personally* benefit from it regardless of general benefits for the society just like manual PCB assemblers used to benefit from their jobs earlier." No need to hide behind moral ideas that aren't contradicted by automatisation process in the slightest, this reasoning is also understandable and is way more genuine than the things you've been yapping about. I make and sell wine at small scale. If somebody made a machine that would just dump a bunch of chemicals into a glass to make a replica or something similar to my wine, I wouldn't be offended in the slightest, because first of all, I do it for myself and I don't care how much similar or same products are there, I still enjoy the entire process; secondly, people who'd use that machine mostly wouldn't buy my wine to begin with and thirdly, even if the unthinkable happens and all my former customers decide that my craft isn't worth it anymore and I somehow fail to adapt to the situation, I'd just find another job that I like because, surprisingly, I don't build my entire personality around a single personal trait, and still make wine and spirits at my free time because I don't do it for others or for money—I, once again, do it for myself.
