Aren't we lucky that western governments have bet the farm on intermittent energy sources like wind and solar, at a rate nowhere near fast enough to provide the power for our homes, much less for industry, transport and the power hungry AI data centres, ensuring frequent blackouts. Also lucky that my government (and their political opponents) have mutually agreed to legally ban nuclear power generation. That should buy us a few decades before enough energy is available for AI to obsolete our jobs entirely.
