From my understanding, most LLM (chatbots) use websites (created by humans) to facilitate their responses. Not to under sell Chatbots, which do have an amazing grasp on human languages, contexts, triggers, etc. For example, if I tell ChatGPT to make a story about a boy exploring a mine-shaft, ChatGPT can break down my prompt and understand what I want. That's amazing! However, it usually steals the content for the prompt from online sources written by humans.
Anither example, one of my friends uses ChatGPT for advanced searching over the internet. Instead of looking for a Stack Overflow forum that can help him solve his coding problem, he asks ChatGPT to look instead. ChatGPT finds the information and presents it in a readable way.
In other words, these LLM'S aren't great at being human or creative. They are good at pretending to be. Without online sources (created by humans), they wouldn't be able to successfully fulfill the prompts they're given.
Again, these AI bots are still incredibly smart and advanced in their learning abilities. They have amazing grasps on human languages and thinking. It's just that we have to take into account how they gather information.
