You need to be a special kind of moron to think that AI will take 99% of the jobs. Let's run with that insanely idiotic statement - say, tomorrow none of us have jobs. Who the fuck even buys anything any more? Capitalism stops. Money is irrelevant. And let's not forget one important thing - AI, if any of you used it, is basically SHIT. Even kids spot AI generated crap. It's non-deterministic so all you do is gamble with the result you get from the prompt. It runs on insanely expensive hardware and generates a loss. All that AI will do is be another part of user interface towards computing, and in no way a "doOm fOr mAnKinD". Like, imagine machines taking over - who the fuck manages nuclear powerplants or supplies them with nuclear materials? Who digs up and processes nuclear materials? The machinery we have is insanely dependent on humans. We can't even make robots that walk up hill consistently (consistently means they can do it all the time, and not just in 2 minute youtube clips). This whole hype crap serves to boost the potential stock price for AI company that will ultimately become new google and take over the advertising on the web.
