I disagree. The brain isn't the map. The human brain is too vulnerable to learn without the body's input. By itself, the brain is a void. Without the sensations of sight, sound, touch, and satisfaction, the brain can do nothing. Asking it to learn only from flashes of data will cause it to be incomplete. If you want AI, then you must connect all the parts that give the brain intelligence. It's because so many programmers cannot fathom the parts that will form intelligence, we can not build intelligence. Everything that is a human or a whale or any other life we know of, Artificial Intelligence can only be the current version of the most current Encyclopedia. Words have a nuance dependent upon who said the word under what mood into the circumstance they were spoken. There is still no artificial intelligence that can deferinciate between the 'do' of a 2-year old male child and the 'do' of a gardener or another programmer or a grandparent or IKEA assembly instructions. Therefore, it is nothing more than record of what we have learned as a species; it is a reference, that is all. Actually intelligence is the one who defines current culture.
