My dad does use a lot of ai image generation for DND
Every timed there is a new city or nex type of monster, my dad use ai to generate images of those to be able to show to the players where they are and what they are fighting, especially that with weird monsters, we'll see them once and then never again, so it doesn't make sense to put hours of work into it
