There's a difference between replicating a style and learning from it. To make original work, there is a rule for artists: to "steal" from many and to apply that knowledge to create something in their own style to learn and develop their skill, and in turn create something original. "Style" is an artist's interpretation of the world around them and way of expression, and so it is completely individual. Artists can replicate other artists work, which is not the same as learning by "stealing" from many to create something original. Creating original works is different than when someone replicates an artist's style. The goal of that is not to create something original, but borrowed. The goal is to create something that someone else could have or has already made, by trying to think like them and perceive the world like them. It is not new. AI cannot produce genuinely new things. Due to its nature, it is always stealing and creating hollow versions of art. When you look at a piece of art made by a human, you can ask questions like, "Why is the sky purple? Why has this artist chosen these colours? What does the artist feel when creating this? What did they want to express?" There is something so human about expression like that, which AI can never replicate. No matter how many questions you ask about the AI, you will get come to the same answer. The AI did this "Art" because it was given instructions to. It was given a code to analyze what could work with its given prompt, what words are associated with the material it's given to learn. There is no feeling, no passion in it. Once you have an eye for it, t's very easy to see how...well, robotic and cold AI art is. (Also, AI cannot draw hands for shit lmaoo)
