Thing thing with this proposed future is that it's too narrowly focused on the high tech and internet-adjacent parts of the world. No internet, no AI, no electricity. This still goes for so much of the world. AI simply cannot exist without electricity, and it would not be able to have the energy to push itself into areas without electricity without being EXTREMELY obvious. We'll always have the past ways of life as an option, as it's hard to penetrate for the internet and electricity. Obviously i'm talking about very rural and undeveloped areas here.
