This is why I fundamentally hate art ever being called talent. We need to stop. We need everyone to know that it is a skill that they can learn if they have the interest. You are not either born with or without the ability! You don't need AI! It's especially sad that a lot of pro-AI people will use the argument of visual quality and make fun of beginner art, because it only further discourages people from learning. Honestly we need to abandon the idea that visual quality is the most important aspect anyway. It's more important to partake in the joy of creating art, using that part of your brain, and making yourself happy than it is for other people to like it. Bad art isn't just necessary for becoming good, it's also just something worth existing. More than fake art that looks polished. The idea of visual quality above all else is the commodification of art, and while yes many artists sell their art as a commodity, overcommodification is a capitalistic approach to what is really a humanitarian endeavor.
