Yes its different. AI is limited to what it can gather as inspiration from other people, This makes it so that all it can do is imitate and not originate. Artists use this one factor that no AI can replicate, and its probably the reason why they'll get irritated when people ask if their work is AI, That is imagination, Dont touch an artist's imagination similar to why you shouldn't play with a man's ego.
