I am a computer engineering student. I also used to think that the AI will not be able to take contorl over the humans, AI will always be controlled by human. AI wont take our jobs but make our job easier and more productive.
But now its been a while since I started learning machine learning and deep learning. After having some experience on building some projects, I am also shocked how intelligent a machine can be when we have the right data and feed it into the right model. It can do any thing a human do if its trained. One day the AI will exceed the human intelligence and will certainly be self sustaining. They wont need any human to improve them and that day is not too far from now.
