I'm really conflicted on the idea of 'poisoning' AI.
On the artist side. I totally get the hatred and distrust. Its awful companies are using such high end models and its scary to think they think it has anywhere near as much merit as an actual talented human, its awful.
On the tech side, I find the idea of poisoning the data set even if its done for good reasons concerns me because if we completely destroy these tools, thats good for us in the short term but I worry about the potential long term ramifications of completely destroying such a significant advancement out of fear and distaste.
That being said my issue lies more in things like text-based LLM's and such admittedly, but I just worry that even if valid. all the hatred filled attacks on this might have unforseen consequences in the long term for some groups.
