This is interesting and is based on core economic philosophy. Probably, we're relatively safe, because if the majority would be very poor (we've tried that, with like feudalism, and it limits growth a lot), noone would afford the products that the all-automated industry offers. We have to somehow earn enough to consume, or the machinery stops.
