Even without the existence of AI, humans will create our own demise by 2050 via overpopulation. The earth can only sustain a human population of 8-10 billion, at this point illness, famine, severe pollution would be the end for us. AI will only speed this up tremendously. As always, technology hasn’t really served a purpose, but only sped up the race to our own demise.
