You can’t make art ever? Lie. Draw a line of a peice of paper, bam, you made art. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it doesn’t even have to be GOOD, what matters is that it’s YOURS. That you put in effort into it. That you had fun making it. That you’re trying to bring YOUR ideas to life with YOUR OWN 2 HANDS. Heck, maybe you don’t even HAVE hands. And to that I say, so what? You can still bring those ideas to life somehow anyways, because you have determination and a passion and a desire to CREATE. So DO IT. CREATE. CREATE ANYWAYS. That’s the beauty of art. That there are so many people on so many different skill levels, that humans have been making art for millions of years, and we’re still all doing it. And we’re doing it because we WANT TO. Because WE decided to LEARN and to put in the EFFORT to CREATE something MEANINGFUL to us. To have the curiosity to explore new things and to TRY and to LEARN. It doesn’t matter if your art is “good”. What matters is that you make it, that you are putting in effort, that you are doing it because you want to create, that you are learning something new, that you are passionate about something, that you are pushing through the doubt and all the hundreds and hundreds and thousands of stuff that you really don’t like and that you think is crap but what the heck you’re gonna keep making stuff anyways because who knows maybe one day I’ll make some crap that isn’t that crappy Anything can be art. What makes it art is the fact that you made it. Put pencil on paper, fingers to keys, hands to clay, dance shoes to floor, that’s all art. Make a noise, show expressions, flail your arms around, that’s singing acting and dancing. Splatter random paints onto a piece of wood, that’s a painting. Glue a couple balls of paper together, you made a sculpture. Have you seen the stuff that babies and toddlers and little kids create? It doesn’t look good. Heck, it usually doesn’t even look like anything at all but they say it’s a horse so who are we to question it? 🤷‍♀ You might not think that know how to make art, but that’s the beautiful thing about art in the first place. You don’t need to “know”, you just need to DO. You just need to TRY. And you do it because you WANT to. Because you are a HUMAN BEING with a DESIRE to CREATE. And even if it doesn’t turn out the way you want, you keep creating anyways. THAT is what makes an artist, and THAT is what makes something ART. And some robot slapping together random photos from the internet and stealing artworks and making some weird collage because somebody types in some words and told it to? That will NEVER live up to the real thing. Because THAT isn’t art. THAT is a heartless, fake, generated image. Because what makes something ART, is the fact that it came from a PERSON who decided to MAKE something because they had a DESIRE to CREATE, and THAT is a desire that MATTERS and that CANNOT be stopped or ignored. So if you have that desire, then use it. And make ART. Because as long as YOU’RE the one who created it, then you CAN make ART, and you CAN make something BEAUTIFUL. Something that NO ONE else can make because they aren’t YOU.
