Im of the opinion that artist will actually benefit the most from it. I work as an AI engineer in a firm that wants to generate animation automatically. I am VERY WELL paid but even I dont believe in the project. Instead, one of the currently contracted animator came to me and asked for an inbetweener tool and lipsync generation for his animations so that he could get to work faster on the key scenes, and our combined work is WAY better than whatever the main product is doing. Now I am thinking of quitting and building my own company with this fantastic animator. Its like photography, sure everyone can have an iphone and take fantastic photo in theory because of how good the technology is, but in practice, only a few people are good enough to harness that power and be PAID to take pictures, there is the difference. Im an engineer, I cant claim to be an artist, these are fundamentally two different roles in society, but I can build something to make you more productive.
