This video made me think: am I part of the problem?
I avoid AI images like the plague, yet at my workplace, I recently automated machine translation of UI *text*.
With machine translation being completely normalized today, I didn't think much about it. But I'm not blind to the parallels with AI art.
So, discussion question: do you think machine translation is problematic? How does it differ from ai "art"?
(To clarify, we/I fully recognize the translations will be missing context, or even be outright wrong. The thought that we'd have to pay a professional if we wanted proper translations is part of why I was comfortable doing it.)
