I'm not a professional lawyer. But one day i was doing some legal work and asked ChatGPT4 to provide me with some caselaw to support my argument. It gladly did. And I was thrilled how easy it was! And then, as I always do, I went to read it in its entireity and could not find it. And then another one couldn't be found. And then another one. And so I started arguing with ChatGPT and learned that it simply made stuff up. Today, I use ChatGPT to help proofread for grammar and maybe provide some logistical analysis, but NEVER for content creation. It is an impressive tool with some incredible capabilities, but we must be careful not to anthropormorphize it and respect its limitations.
