I feel like AI is invested in because whenever the money people demo it, it stroked their ego (why ai agrees with the user), and doesnt really talk to normal people and is mostly corporate jargon. To them it can sound natural, but for us its uncanny. AI parrots with little reason or logic, not as complex as people - and even actual parrots are better at communicating than AI.
