So I am very passionate about creative writing. I have been making my own characters, worlds, and species since I was in middle school. I also have dyslexia and failed every semester of English on my first try EXCEPT for English 4 semester 2, quite literally the least stressful semester of English in US high schools cause at that point you're supposed to be graduating soon and they don't care as much. So while I absolutely adore writing and have probably written half a million words in my life thus far, I make a lot of common literary mistakes. My roommate, on the other hand, isn't as passionate about creative writing and finds it a struggle. She loves to LARP and has vague ideas for stories, but doesn't have enough focus or drive to put pen to paper. However, she not only loves to read but was an AP English student. Needless to say, we're the perfect combo to lift each other up and create our fictional worlds together. I do all the writing and she helps pick up the fractured shards I leave behind and helps me make everything whole again. By the logic of NaNoWriMo, instead I should be relying on an AI that doesn't understand my writing style, my character building, the unique terms in my world, etc to do all of my beta/editing and my roommate should just turn all of her vague ideas into a prompt and hope an AI can write exactly what she's thinking. Because, you know, we're both broke and disabled, so clearly there's no better option for us
