The job market is changing faster than ever and a lot of points made in this video are true, but some things aren’t. You have tech CEOs arguing AI is the future. They are going to argue that because they are the people trying to push AI onto big business. Big business is hoping AI can be a success because then they can cut heads but here’s the catch like this article noted. It’s the foundation you’re going to have to target with AI the basic tasks and activities. The problem is when you get rid of people who do these activities You have nobody learning the basics of how the company runs how the company functions what the data looks like and when it becomes time to promote one of those people who might understand this very basic information, you have nobody to promote. You end up with a gap who are you going to promote that? Understands your basic data who’s going to take your mid-level management position for taking data analyzing it and making mid-level management decisions? I know people who work at certain companies where they have basic gathering tools, basic computer, algorithms that gather data The data is just gathered it’s processed by us individuals. You gather the data you put it into a macro and the data is processed and it spits out information that is needed to run on a day-to-day basis. The problem is once the robotic tool once the algorithm can’t gather the data everything stops. If nobody else knows where to go get the data from how to gather the data or suppose a mistake is made in the data all hell breaks loose. So companies may want to replace low level individuals with AI, but you need people at those levels who can at least look at the data that all of these AI tools are going to be processing and they need to make sure it’s correct. You can’t have AI checking AI to make sure AI is correct. You actually need to put human eyes on it just to make sure the data matches up. The moment you do that you might as well have the human gather the data because you are going to need that human in the future to take on the mid-level management role of decision-making based on the data. So it’s not as simple as they make it out to be yes, I will take some jobs, but it won’t take as many as you might think because you are going to need people there to still put a fresh pair of eyes on that data to make sure it’s OK Because if you put bad data out there and it gets processed and used to, let’s say create financial statements all it takes one mistake just one mistake to cost your company billions. You can’t go to investors and say oh the AI messed up processing some number. Let me go back and fix it.
