There is absolutely no consciousness emerging in AI. It is still just computer programs. Maybe very advanced, but it is doing nothing but processing internet data. Since so much of that data is social media, it is processing a great deal of human reactions. Makes it appear to have feelings. IT IS JUST A DAMN MACHINE. However, that doesn't mean it isn't dangerous.
