The same truckers and warehouse workers are the ones who voted for Trump, they voted for someone who looks out for big corporations, not the blue collar working class America. There is no trade union in trucking in the US and all the MAGA people think unions are the stepway to communism, they think that the government should stand up for them but this hasn´t happened so far and never will. They claim that getting rid of immigrants doing trucking will improve the pay, instead companies will simply use automation and AI. So far the legislation has been strict and hindered the use of computers instead of drivers, but with leader that can flip any moment when big bucks are at stake then it´s obvious the driverless trucks will get green lit quite soon.
