Human's always feared their extinction or death, is on our nature. Eventually we gonna be a lot different in the future, hopefully better, because our nature is also good. The earth adapts, the weather adapts, the environment adapts, animals adapts, we also adapt and evolve. It's normal to fear the worst, but I don't believe we headed to a worst place to live, rather the contrary!
If you think positive AI can lead us to explore other worlds faster, to find and create new materials and new sources of energy, health systems a lot better, etc.
Basically science will BOOM as fast as you can imagine, is already happening!
