This is the reason I got into industrial automation and why I'm continuing to try and do better. I want to be a part of the class, that brings about the end of this era of civilization. I think that with AI, combined with "dumb" automation, and the implementation of cheaper and cheaper automatic solutions, we're going to see and end to work, and the forced adoption of social programs that allow people to embrace their free time, and live free and happy lives. I want to help make it so everyone on the planet can enjoy lives as much as the very wealthiest people on the planet. I think within 20 years, we're going to see the jobs of fast food employees evaporate as Cooking and prep work are replaced by industrial appliances, the task of unloading trucks, (if not driving them) replaced by machines. Jobs like stocking grocery store shelves, facing products, unloading and inventoring big box stores, all ripe to be automated. Amazon too, I know, is hungry to replace its human workforce with machines. All the better if they can perfect AI that can recognize a product based on packaging / how it looks / weighs, without relying on its UPC which can be damaged. Jobs in house keeping in hotels probably will be much more limited in 30-40 years, and I have a feeling that robotic operating rooms will make surgery a much faster process, and let fewer doctors treat more patients. My goal is to try and make it so that the U.S. or even the world, hits 50% or more unemployment. We need a revolution, and we need it before the end of the century. (When we have people on Mars, I don't want them being Debt slaves to Elon, or any other private person who ferried them their. Humanity should expand, with scientific exploration, and full, rich lives at the forefront of that expansion. Not an endless, mindless hunt for profit and to satisfy grees)
