As an artist, I am not against AI Art. But I am against unethical uses of it. Currently, a lot of AI Art we see is people sourcing from copyrighted material. E.g., the guy Ai rating a streamer's art and demanding credit and the guy on Reddit making AI Art with Sam's style and saying they don't need permission to commercialize it. That AI Art, is unethical. However, these forms of "Ai Art" has taking up a lot of media attention. The positive side of AI Art that no one ever talks about or give any attention, are the ones who give it the human touch, uses their own artwork as sources, uses it as shortcuts, references, inspirations, edits, generally really cool stuff, etc. These existed even before "AI Art" was made accessible to the public. *Will it replace human artists?* Ai Art has existed for 30 years and not once has it replaced artists. Moreso, I see a lot of professional artists, especially concept artists use it as references or inspiration. It'll never replace human artists. Otherwise, Ai Art is so much more than sourcing off of copyrighted material. It's possible for DeviantArt and Clip Studio Paint to have an AI thing that only does self-sources. It's possible to have an AI Art domain to exclusively source on historical art (while keeping the 70 year copyright rule) but it never existed when it should.
