We have improved productivity tens of thousands of times in many fields. MS Excel made a months worth of data and projects sheet work into a few hours. Some of that money went to workers, most of it stayed on top. A lot of it came back in taxes in the past. That no longer happens, wages stagnated and taxing the rich got cut or circumvented. It is not just innocent, but irresponsible, to believe any value will be left for 99% of the population if AI solves our workload. It will break society and either we take wealth back by policy or force, or we get even more dominated by these rich fucks who think they are gods and don’t give a shit about us, than already happens today.
