The funny thing is, there are actually generative AI models that have licensed their training data properly. Their only downside is, because they had to license basically all of shutterstock and similar services these are not cheap AI models. On the upside, these models can't be poisoned like the scraper models. Because artists and photographers who are being paid for their original work have no reason to try and poison their images. The AI models are also generally better, because shutterstock and similar libraries have very comprehensive meta tagging on all of their images.
But hey, if you want to be an AI "artist" grifter, why would you ever pay for an AI model? Paying for your materials is such a liberal arts school graduate loser thing to do, right?
Frankly the only thing that the free generative AI models are good for is generating a fake ID to bypass photo ID requirements on websites these days. The AI checking the photo is so incredibly bad that it can't tell the difference between an actual photo and AI slop.
