Just came across your channel and I really appreciate your breakdown, I had a hard time understanding the difference between a normal person using references from other artists and an AI using another artists works to create original pieces previously, but your anecdotes and explanation definitely helped shed some more light on that. As someone who'd like to create stories with my art for a living one day myself and have always aspired to, it is pretty depressing to think that corporations will likely source a lot of that out to AI or that I won't be able to get any commissions because anything someone might want commissioned can just be done through the use of AI. On the other hand, I think that if AI does get to a point where it's truly realized AI, it's important that it has an understanding of things like art, culture, and music in order to relate to organic life and create commonality between us. I'd love a world where AI art is still around and we can all enjoy it but humanity has the restraint to not use it in place of human artistic works. I know that's hopelessly optimistic, but that's the world I'd like to live in.
