The UBI argument is a socialist wet dream, and it ignores a few key issues, the largest of which is inflation.
The UBI would push the rate of inflation higher and higher forever unless the government takes over all of the economy. In other words… communism.
Now a few things this video ignores about AI capabilities.
AI can be a powerful tool but it can’t do several tasks that Humans can.
Mechanical repair and maintenance… the AI will be able to diagnose problems, but it can’t crawl under a 2008 Ford F150 and find the source of a noise and solve it, and probably won’t for another 60 years.
Food preparation at the restaurant or home level. ( this may change but not really soon)
Human to human interaction in high stress situations, AI would fall into the uncanny valley and cause more problems.
Any job that requires tactile feedback at the human level. No AI would ever get even close to the sensory input of the human hand.
