disabled artist here. I have arthritis as a comorbidity to my ehlers danlos syndrome, both of which particularly affect my hands and fingers, which means that on bad days drawing is physically painful for me. that said, i am still firmly against AI and hate being used as an excuse for people using it. We do art because the process is enjoyable, in spite of any pain that might come about as a result. I think that's the biggest factor that pro-genAI arguments go back to: people seeing the process of creating art as a chore and not something thoroughly enjoyable, and frankly the people who view it as a chore to be avoided have no business calling themselves artists
