The state of AI right now is at the crux of the 80/20 rule. The AI industry has spent ~20% of the total scientific effort needed to get to 80% of the goal of being able to replace humans. Now 80% of the total effort must be spent to get the last 20% there. The same rule can be applied to the autonomous vehicle industry as it was in 2021.
