Honestly I think you're being really disingenuous with this video, you see artist copying each other all the time. From either learning each other's styles, to tracing, to literally stealing techniques from one another in order to develop skills own skill and make it their own. AI is literally doing the same thing except thousands at thousands of times faster than what a human could possibly do. The AI is learning from what it sees, learning different styles so forth and so on.
This is like telling someone hey you saw how amazing my picture it is but now you want to mimic my style and get inspiration from it to create your own work of art in a similar style but you can't because this is mine and if you do the ethics of you copying my style and trying to create your own style from learning from my style is wrong! You can't do that, it's theft!
That's absurd. All the images are being used to help the improvement to ai and what it's capable of. It's a tool that could be used to help improve your own skills, help you with inspirational ideas so forth and so on.
