13:50 I am a disabled artist. I have Ehlers Danlo Syndrom Hypermobility (among other conditions,) which for those who don't know, esentially makes your joints like to mildly slide out of place. My hands often do the same thing your feet do when you roll them while I play piano or draw. (Basically the bones in the center of my hand get knocked out of place.) It can be incredibly painful, in fact my hands are killing me as I type this, I even stopped drawing earlier because of this. All I have to say as a response to this statement is: Fuck. Anyone. Who. Says. This. The only people who get to be the exception are actual disabled people, and even they aren't fully off the hook. When I heard this shit I literally started laughing and crying simotaniously. You do not get to use others pain to justify your own actions. If you're gonna use AI art at least own it instead of hiding behind the idea of it "being more accessible for others." Another thing, if you think disabled people need a computer to do the work for them to accomplish what they want to in life, then you are sorely mistaken. And I don't mean communicating through them, I mean actually making the computer do the work for you. If you look throughout history or even in the modern day I promise you you will find countless disabled people pushing themselves through the pain to achieve whatever goal they have. No matter what just remember this; Other's struggles do not get to be your justification. If you don't want to put in the effort to learn art, commission someone. Yes, it's expensive, but if you don't want to spend the money then put in the fucking work yourself. Don't steal, cause that's what AI art is. Stealing others hard work. Including disabled people's.
