Politeness in AI prompts is as pointless as it is in search engines. Both tools are just relating keywords. A sentient AI has no greater chance of being cruel as it does being nice or polite or fair, regardless of how nice you are to it. I prompt based on my mood at the time, regardless of what I'm looking for, and the responses are obnoxiously polite no matter what. I'm not one for pleasantries and politeness anyway, I don't need that sort of social butter seasoned with honey and saccharine. If that dooms me to SkyNet, so be it, at least I'll know who the irrational one is. Note that even as an autistic, I realize humans are generally emotion-based, often irrational, and so I work my communication with them as-is, completely unrelated to AI usage. If AI ends up like that, it'll be far more of a problem for humanity than we are.
