china is going to beat the US when it comes to AI, their universities are already matching the US and exceeding them in many areas of STEM, and international chinese students and researchers are over represented in all of america's research as well
just read the author and university names in any recent highly visible publication in mathematics and computer science, or look at something like the cwts ranking
