The unbelievable amount of hubris displayed by the people developing and promoting AI is staggering. In all these conversations, not once, have I seen any mention of the word “soul” or any acknowledgment of the likelihood of a supreme being like “God” or anything remotely spiritually transcendent. They acknowledge no power greater than themselves or the AI.
