To learn how to "context engeneer" or think in systems, in order to instruct ai agent to actually build something useful for you, you first have to become a programmer, write code, understand how that code affects different parts of the system, then start peacing together how the entire system works and affects other systems etc. So when you build your house, you dont just learn the basics and let the builders do the rest, you also have to understands the fundamentals to explain the builders what to do. And code is also important. You cant just outsource the code to an ai. You might change something about that code in the future, ai does not know that until you tell it, so it creates code that is dependent on another code. Basically creates the dependency that later will cost you hours to untangle if you did not "separate the concern" at the very start you designed that part of the sistem. Web Saas, making that for multiple customers, with ai, is much different than making say, todo list andoroid apps. Trust me, i know, being a Java programmer and Android app developer before i migrated to web and much more complex systems. And i have OCP sertification, and actual coding skills, i cant imagine how vibe coders can actually create and entire saas platform using only ai prompting, without first understanding that they fist need to set up things like: logging, unit testing, understand how basis debugging works, understand git, create backup servers and maybe some load balancing, apply patterns to their backend like MVC, understand how request response dynamic works, pagination, security etc. Ai will not tell you all that or do it for you. And even code in your backend services, if you actually take a look what ai wrote, you will see that the code can get 2x more efficient if a capable human wrote it. So ai as a tool, is useful only to get you started with some new library, to explain some unfamiliar tool or pattern, and basically as a transition tool to make you adapt faster to the new tech stack. That can be done with ai, i have done it. And made saas systems. But to replace anything you do as a thinking human, nah.
