I think you video title is misleading "Everyone is Cheating (Even the Professors)". It gives a false impression that most of scientists are just cheating. This is pretty dangerous given the current populist anti-establishment and anti-intellectual public tendency. I am a grad student in condensed matter physics. All people around me seems to be doing hard and concrete things that are just too hard and imperfect to be faked. Of course, they could have in principle just faked IR, XRD, Ramam, STM, data. It is hard to fake those things with current AI to begin with. Also, their data is almost always hard to interpret and it takes a lot of effort between the experimentalists and theorists to figure out what is really happening in the experiment. If they fake things, the whole process won't be as difficult as I experienced/observed. Because of this, I think I'm decently confident in saying that almost no one around me is cheating (to a relevant degree). The bad apples are still very rare... at least in physics and chemistry department where I have experience in.
