i'm a musician (mostly orchestral), not a visual artist, so i can't exactly speak with regards to that part of this vid, but even with my extremely minimal interaction with visual art there are things that look obviously strange and offputting. i feel like i couldn't possibly have the same brain as someone who thinks they genuinely look good.
speaking IN my area of expertise ai generated "music" is so obviously devoid of any real intent or emotion oh my god it's awful. there's so much thought (both in study/analysis of the music and in connecting it to your own experiences) that goes into creating a performance that actually connects with the audience that i frankly have no hope that a model could ever create something i care to listen to because the people who create and manage the models seem **convinced** that it's actually great. anything with a person like that in a position of authority couldn't create something that sounds good under scrutiny even in a world where generation models were perfect and didn't have any technical limitations because **they don't care enough about art to make art.**
