I do both digital and traditional art. However, I'm more experienced in traditional. It annoys the shit out of me that people compare AI shit to digital art. They are NOT the same. They just both have to do with using a computer, that's where the similarities begin and end. Traditional and digital are far more alike because they are pretty much the same. You just have more tools and access to an undo button with digital. Traditional, depending on the medium, there is no way to undo (unless it's just pencil or something of the sort, erasers exist) and it's a bit harder to blend things and you can't reposition stuff like you can with digital. Traditional is just more "permanent" than digital. That's the main thing. General AI can be a tool for certain things (running programs in manufacturing for one). *Generative* AI is not "just a tool", it just churns out severely lifeless and soulless products that are just bastardized amalgamations of the (stolen) art, from REAL artists, that the program was trained on.
