I think the true main reason to be polite to them is because you don't want to practice being a cruel, impolite person as you may get used to that and behave like that to humans. in all areas you should seek to be polite. when someone reads as 'nice' but then speaks to ai like it's trash it's the same for a human speaking to a waitress like trash - I'm giving you the side eye. Something is very creepy about people who are selectively polite.
