I'd rather watch a real dolphin do tricks than a robot. I'd rather buy a doodle made by an elephant than the most magnificent painting made by GenAI.
Imagine I hang both paintings on the wall in my home and friends come over. The elephant's art (notice I call it art) would definitely spark some conversation, or at least give my friends an idea of who I am and what I like. The AI "painting" would likely be met with a flat "Oh. Didn't know AI could do that nowadays."
Because what is there to talk about? What does it tell my friends about me, except for perhaps that I'm all for appearances and have no substance?
