this "real relationship that makes it interesting" stuff is completely subjective. The Mona Lisa is just a random portrait, Da Vinci never even bothered about it. People ascribed value to it after it was stolen in 1911 and started attributing all sort of nonsensical meaning. It's just a fuckin portrait, man.
people say "AI can never do this" because they know it's an AI that made the image. There's already been cases (eg in Art Basel) where someone got praised for something they later disclosed it was AI. People just want to find justifications to value some things more deeply than others.
