See, here's my take on what's going to happen:
Eventually, when AI takes everyone's jobs and people are just sucking up resources or struggling to survive, those in control will turn to finding any excuse to not simply make more money, but completely cut down on the population of Earth. They'll look at climate change and use the excuse that it'll "save the planet" to kill off 70%-90% of the human race, leaving only a small portion behind that effectively has creative mode.
So you won't be suffering; you'll be dead.
