I'm particle physicist. Had like 3 proper programing classes and rest learned by myself and it's crazy to me how cs degree can look like. I always felt like I have no chance against those guys when it comes to getting some job after leaving academia. Now when I finish my postdoc I'll be against graduates from chatgpt not cs.
