DIsregarding the jobs argument entirely, I reject AI programming because it is inferior. The fundamental and inescapable flaw of AI is information degredation.
The information it reads has already lost an immense amount of its depth before it even reads it, and because it doesn't have the experience of a real human in a real world to constantly update its context, it ends up inbreeding its data to the point of dementia.
This issue can be smoothed over a bit, but it will never match up to someone who actually knows their craft. And furthermore, reliance upon it robs people of their ability to develop their craft.
Code is an art, and art is a fundamentally human endeavor.
