It's been 3 years of "AI going to replace coders" chat. And as a developer who uses AI, I can say safely, that I'm not at all threatened.
It is an INCREDIBLE tool that does a lot of stuff that I don't like. And it's helping me create much better software. I don't have to write the same fucking boilerplate code over and over and over. And can actually spend more time creating actual solutions and designing better systems, because I have more time
And people who are just "prompt engineers", are never going to be good at creating actual solutions. Because they've offloaded all thinking to AI. They're going to be massively held back, never reaching their potential.
